Construction

Prove site safety and compliance at every handover.

SealAudit helps construction teams run configurable safety workflows from QR codes at site entry points, capturing defensible evidence of who completed which checks and where.

Scenario

A general contractor manages safety compliance across three active construction sites. Each site has restricted zones requiring equipment handover verification before worker entry. The safety manager needs auditable proof that every handover includes the correct document review, equipment condition check, and worker acknowledgement — without adding paper forms or review delays.

How the workflow runs

A site safety workflow configured in SealAudit follows the same trigger, verification, action, and audit pattern used across every SealAudit deployment.

  1. 1) Trigger: A worker scans a QR code posted at the equipment handover point. The scan opens the assigned safety compliance workflow for that site.
  2. 2) Verification: The platform checks authenticated identity and, if enabled by policy and worker consent, verifies geolocation proximity to the site. Verification outcomes are recorded as pass, fail, bypass, or error for review clarity.
  3. 3) Action: The worker reviews the equipment handover document, acknowledges the safety requirements, completes an equipment condition form, then submits a check-in action confirming presence at the handover point.
  4. 4) Audit event: The system stores the outcome, timestamp, verification status, and references to the exact workflow version and document version. The safety manager can search and export this record for internal reviews and external compliance inspections.

Compliance outcome

Every handover creates a tamper-evident audit record referencing the workflow version and document version in effect at the time. When an OSHA inspector or internal auditor asks for handover proof, the safety manager exports a complete record showing who completed the check, when, at which site, and which version of the safety procedure was in place.

The audit trail distinguishes between completed verifications and exceptions, so reviewers see exactly which checks passed and which were bypassed with a recorded reason. This supports contractor accountability without relying on paper sign-off sheets or manual log reconciliation across sites.
